About Pete.
I am a designer-developer hybrid who strongly believes that less is usually more.
Background
My journey started in graphic design, sweating the details of print layouts, kerning, and color theory. I eventually translated those skills to the web, teaching myself to code so I could bring my own designs to life exactly as I envisioned them.
Over the years, I've worked closely with startups, agencies, and independent creators to build products that value reliability and aesthetics in equal measure.
Philosophy
I am a strong proponent of simplicity in software. Modern web development has a tendency to become bloated and overly complex.
I strive to push against that current by writing clean HTML, minimizing JavaScript, avoiding unnecessary abstractions, and leaning on strong typography and whitespace to create hierarchy instead of adding more "stuff" to the interface.
"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away." — Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Let's build something minimal and profound.
